Ballistic Carrier Systems
Excel Manufacturing produces build-to-spec textile carrier systems for a variety of configurations, including plate carriers, soft-armor carriers, concealable systems, and external carrier designs.
Our role is focused on manufacturing the textile carrier system according to the required specifications. Ballistic plates and soft-armor components are integrated and qualified by our partners, allowing each organization to maintain responsibility for its respective part of the program.
Our demonstrated experience includes Navy carrier and other ballistic carrier programs, giving defense customers access to a manufacturing partner familiar with the construction requirements of specialized protective equipment.
Deployment Bags and Tactical Bags
We manufacture a wide range of deployment and tactical bags designed around specific operational and program requirements. Our capabilities include assault packs, transit bags, weapons cases, medical bags, equipment bags, duffel bags, and other specialty configurations.
Depending on the program, manufacturing can incorporate features such as MOLLE/PALS systems, laser-cut construction, specialized configurations, and agency-specific colorways.

Waterproof Seam Sealing
Excel also provides seam sealing and waterproof seam taping for wet-weather garments and moisture-barrier systems.
Seam sealing is particularly important for technical outerwear because even a waterproof fabric can allow moisture through the needle holes created during sewing. Our controlled seam-taping process helps close these potential water-entry points and supports the production of genuinely waterproof garment systems.
We manufacture seam-sealed products including wet-weather parkas and trousers, moisture-barrier liners, bivy covers, sleep systems, and specialized military outerwear. Because cutting, sewing, seam sealing, and inspection are performed within our facility, programs do not need to be transferred to a separate third-party finishing operation.
Laser Cutting Services
Our facility includes two dual-head asynchronous laser cutters, providing laser-cutting capability both for our own manufacturing programs and as a standalone service.
Laser cutting can support modern tactical and technical textile applications where accurate, repeatable cutting and specialized component preparation are required. Customers can discuss material requirements, bed sizes, throughput, and other production considerations directly with our team.
Cut, Sew, Pattern and Sample Development
Our foundation remains our cut-and-sew manufacturing capability. We provide an integrated production process that includes pattern making, grading, sample development, automated and manual cutting, sewing, programmable bartacking, quality inspection, packing, and shipping.
Keeping these functions within one facility allows us to support customers from early sample development through production. We can work with existing specifications, help make products production-ready, and then manufacture them at the volumes and quality standards required by the program.
